The new building at Balfour at Brookline will be designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, a nationally renowned firm selected in consultation with the Town of Brookline’s architectural subcommittee. The firm has built its reputation on its unmatched ability to design buildings that grow naturally out of their surroundings, enhancing rather than disrupting the character of the communities they serve. The firm’s work in and around Brookline ranges from a house in Chestnut Hill to 222 Berkeley Street in Boston’s Back Bay. The firm has completed buildings for Harvard Law School, Harvard Kennedy School, and Harvard Business School, including renovations and additions to the HBS campus’s central Baker Library | Bloomberg Center, designed and executed in association with Finegold Alexander Architects of Boston, a well-respected Boston-based firm with extensive historic preservation and adaptive-reuse experience that is now collaborating with RAMSA as architect-of-record for Balfour at Brookline.
